Lockport Volunteer Fire Company traces it’s beginnings to the early 1800’s when it was a bucket brigade unit.  One of its most challenging fires was that of 1916 when most of the town’s business district was destroyed.  Today, there is a modern main fire station on Crescent Avenue and several sub-stations in the surrounding area.
