Lockport Lions Club

The Lockport Lions Club, a part of Lions International, is a service club that focuses on sight preservation, the provision of eye care and eyeglasses and on programs and projects that benefit the Lockport community.  The club was formed in 1947 and has assisted in projects such as the Lockport swimming pool, providing eyeglasses and eye care through the Louisiana Lions Eye Foundation to hundreds of residents and has provided annual scholarships to graduates of Central Lafourche High School since 1985.  The Lions Club usually meet at 410 Lafourche St., the home of Eric Bollinger on the last Tuesday of each month for fellowship, program planning, and participate with other Lockport organizations in holding the Lockport Spring Food Fest.  Through these and other programs, and in association with Lions Clubs throughout Louisiana, the United States and the international community, “We Serve.”
